Once again a tie that was decided by Steins making up in character what they lacked in quality.
The game plan worked perfectly first half aa Steins created the better chances and Deco, Johny Harrison and Starky will all feel they could have done better with opportunities created.
It was then against the run of play when we gifted the away side a penalty and it was fortunate that he drilled wide.
This made Steins respond and a lovely move culminated in a lovely diving header from Declan Valentine off a Starky cross putting the home side in front.
At this point the match was close to boiling over and tempers were frayed going into half time.
The second half commenced and Steins suffered a setback when skipper Ammo who had been brilliant until then was sent off for a second cautionable offence which looked very harsh.
At this point we were defending well and looking like seeing the game out especially after a brilliant Callum Gray save off a terrific header but another corner saw Dida dangle a leg causing a penalty which was despatched and at this point Steins had a mountain to climb.
A huge factor at this point was the introduction of Lee Mushet and Ryan Laidlaw who helped us defend stoutly beside Jamie McGrandles who was colossal from start to finish and Ross Fox whose experience shone through.
The game looked set for penalties until brilliant play from Dominic McGrandles collected the ball then patiently waited for man of the match Kyle Allison who let the ball run across his body and smashed the winning goal in the bottom corner.
An incredible win against a very good side and the home fans were delirious as this season continues to amaze all of us.
Huge credit to the players who keep delivering and the committee and supporters who have been phenomenal…next up the quarter final of the Scottish cup away to Doune.
